Standard Chartered 2009

Today is the annual Standard Chartered Marathon. This year I running 42.195km again, with the timing of personal best 3hr 50min 43sec. I am so surprise I manage to run below sub 4hrs. Before the race I was quite nervous, I don't know whether I can run below 4hrs or not, to run the timing below 4hrs, you need to maintain your pace 10.5km/hr.

This year I manage to run with Team FatBird pacer timing 3:45, I run with them untill 30km, according to them, their pacing about 5:15 to 5:20 per km. I think this was crazy they running so fast and they are infront of the schedule. In the end I still manage to run with them all the way until 30km.

When reaching 39km, I was about to chiong all the way to the finishing line, but there is a sudden cramp in my left leg, the cramp came at the wrong timing, but luckily, the pain is temporary, when reaching 40km, I start running at about 4:30 to 4:40 per km just like the same as this year army half.

While approaching to the finishing line, I notice the front and the back people got a huge gap and I the only one in the centre. The announcer suddenly say " Here come 21243" then I look left and right and I don't know who is this person, then I realise is me haha, somemore he still shout out my name "LU Qiwen from Singapore". This make me feel like I the world champion approaching to the finishing line, this feeling is just like aviva half ironman where they announce the runner name when they approaching to the finishing line.

Hope next year still got chance run below 4hrs again as I also don't know what will happen next year for me.....

Middle Finger Girl

I can't believe it, today working, got a little girl raise up her hand, trying to call me help her get something, then I go towards and see what she need, then she point middle finger at me. I was stun for 10sec and she point middle finger at me for nothing, in the end, her mother say can you get more tomato sauce, then I realise her middle finger actually point at the tomato sauce instead of pointing at me......

Another Day Is Going By.......

Today is just another day that I grow older again, nothing special for me this year, except on Tuesday got a small celebration. Actually every year, I didn't look forward for this day to come, it's remind me that I got to be more responsible in whatever I do. As some expect says that, human being normally will make wrong judgement when they are 25 years old below, likewise, when they reach 25 years old, normally their judgement is correct.

I living in this world for 25 years, haven achieve anything yet as compare the rest which is same age as me, I totally such a failure. Next year graduate already, but I still has some uncertain doubt in 2010......

Dog in the train

Today afternoon take MRT saw one man with a walking stick, obviously i know he can't see he need his friend to hold him and need a passenger to give up the seat to let him sit. But the passenger attention is not on that guy, the attention focus is his dog. Well, this is the first time i saw a dog in the MRT, somemore is not a small dog, is quite a big dog who assist the man that can't see as an guidance angel. So i manage to take some photo in case you all don't believe me......



Dog is human being best friend, Please don't abuse them or kill them, thank you.....

Saying goodbye to NY** a.k.a IDC and say hello to Toby.....

Today work the time is super slow, not very busy, is very relax and having a great time working with those fun people in NY** a.k.a IDC in wheelock. Since the restaurant is not busy, we were busy talking gossip behind someone back and try to create some new joke such as the new menu item, got one item mind call oven baked curry baked rice/pasta, no more using folk, knife and spoon to eat food, it will be using hand to eat, no more english song, it will play bollyhood song.

Being working at NY** a.k.a IDC about 3yrs 10mth is not easy, as i can see many people joining and quit, some people don like each other, some trying to act smart think they know a lot of things then in the end someone got to clear the mass for that act smart person that the mistake he made.

Well i will be working in Toby at parkway with the friends that i know in NY**. Hope it will be a good start for all of us as we going to work together under the same roof again.....
